Who we are

VALERIE is a perfume house designed in Kuwait and made in France. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit valerie-kw.com, create an account, or message us on Instagram or WhatsApp, and how we use it.

What we collect

• Account details. If you create an account: your name, email address and password. Passwords are stored only as a secure hash; nobody at VALERIE can read them.
• Instagram messages. When you message @valerie.perfumes, we keep the text of the conversation and the identifier Instagram gives your account for our page, so we can reply with context.
• Order details. When you order by message, the details you share with us: the scents and quantities, your name, delivery address and phone number.
• Technical data. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP address and browser type, to run and secure the site.

We do not use advertising or analytics trackers. The only things the site stores in your browser are the sign-in details that keep you signed in.

How we use it

• To answer your messages and help you choose a scent.
• To take, confirm and deliver your orders.
• To run your account, including confirmation and password reset emails.
• To keep the site and our systems secure.

We never sell your information or use it for advertising.

Our Instagram assistant

Messages to @valerie.perfumes may be answered first by VALERIE's AI assistant, which is powered by Claude from Anthropic. To write each reply, the recent messages in your conversation are sent to Anthropic for processing. Our team can read every conversation and steps in for orders, questions the assistant cannot answer, or whenever you ask for a person.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf:

• Supabase: database and account sign-in.
• Vercel: website hosting.
• Anthropic: the AI that drafts Instagram replies.
• Resend: account emails.
• Meta: Instagram messaging, under Meta's own privacy policy.

These providers may store data outside Kuwait. We share only what each needs to provide its service. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep account details while your account is open, and message and order history for as long as we need it to serve you and meet our legal obligations. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

Children

Our site and services are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
